145Nd
145Nd, or neodymium-145, is a radioactive isotope of the element neodymium (Z = 60) with a mass number of 145 (N = 85). It is not naturally abundant and is produced in nuclear reactions, such as neutron capture on nearby neodymium isotopes or during spallation and fission processes in reactors and accelerators.
The primary decay mode of 145Nd is beta-minus decay to 145Pm (promethium-145), often accompanied by gamma emissions.
In research settings, 145Nd is used to investigate beta decay properties, nuclear structure, and reaction mechanisms.
