neodymium145
Neodymium-145 is a stable isotope of the element neodymium. Neodymium is a rare-earth element with the chemical symbol Nd and atomic number 60. Neodymium-145 has an atomic mass of approximately 144.916 atomic mass units. It is one of the seven naturally occurring isotopes of neodymium, and it is the second most abundant isotope, making up about 17.2% of natural neodymium. The other stable isotopes are neodymium-142, neodymium-144, neodymium-146, neodymium-148, and neodymium-150, along with the radioactive isotope neodymium-143 which has a very long half-life. Neodymium-145 plays a role in the overall isotopic composition of naturally occurring neodymium and is therefore relevant in studies of geochemical processes and applications that utilize neodymium. Its stability means it does not undergo radioactive decay.
