The primary reasons for repotting include rootbound conditions, where roots have filled the container and begun to circle, restricting water and nutrient uptake. Over time, the soil can also degrade, losing its structure and ability to retain moisture and air, or it may become depleted of nutrients. Repotting provides the plant with more space for root growth, access to fresh, nutrient-rich soil, and improved drainage.
