Überspannungsfilter

Überspannungsfilter, also known as surge protectors or surge suppressors, are devices designed to protect electrical and electronic equipment from damage caused by voltage spikes or transients. These transient overvoltages can originate from various sources, including lightning strikes, power grid fluctuations, and the switching of heavy electrical loads.

The primary function of an Überspannungsfilter is to divert or limit excessive voltage to a safe level, preventing it from reaching sensitive connected devices.
