Élvilága

Élvilága is a Hungarian village located in the Baranya County, in the southwestern part of the country. It is situated approximately 10 kilometers northwest of the city of Mohács. The village has a total area of 8.41 square kilometers and a population of around 340 residents, according to the 2020 census.

Élvilága is a small and rural village, with a predominantly agricultural economy. The main crops grown in the area are wheat, corn, and sunflowers, while livestock breeding is also an important part of the local economy. The village has a few small shops and service providers, but most residents commute to nearby towns for work or services.

The village has a long history dating back to the Middle Ages, with archaeological findings indicating human settlement in the area as far back as the Roman Empire era. Élvilága has changed hands several times throughout its history, with the village being part of the Kingdom of Hungary, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and later the Kingdom of Hungary again. After World War I, the village became part of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, only to be subsequently annexed by Hungary in 1947.

In terms of infrastructure, Élvilága has access to highway 587, connecting the village to the nearby city of Mohács and further on to the M60 motorway. The village also has a public bus connection, providing residents with transportation to nearby towns and cities. The nearest railway station is located in Mohács, offering connections to major cities in southern Hungary.
