Ülekandeseade is a device that generates, modulates and transmits signals to a receiving system over a transmission medium, such as air for radio waves or guided media like coaxial cable and optical fiber. It serves as the transmitting counterpart to a receiver and is a key element in telecommunications, broadcasting, and data networks.

A typical ülekandeseade converts electrical power into a signal that can travel through a medium. It includes components such as an oscillator to generate a carrier signal, a modulator to encode information onto the carrier, one or more power amplifiers to increase transmission strength, and an antenna or transmission link to radiate or send the signal. Control electronics manage frequency, power, modulation type, and safety features. In optical systems, the device may use a laser or LED source with an optical modulator and fiber interface.
