évszakot

Évszakot is the Hungarian word for "season." In Hungary, like in many other temperate regions, the year is typically divided into four distinct seasons: spring, summer, autumn (fall), and winter. Each season is characterized by its own unique weather patterns, temperature ranges, and associated natural phenomena.

Spring, or tavasz, is a period of transition from the cold of winter to the warmth of summer. During this time, temperatures begin to rise, snow melts, and vegetation starts to grow and bloom. It is often associated with renewal and new beginnings.

Summer, or nyár, is the warmest season of the year. Days are long and sunny, and temperatures are at their peak. This is a time for outdoor activities, with agriculture often in full swing, particularly during the later stages of summer.

Autumn, or ősz, marks the transition from summer to winter. Temperatures gradually decrease, and days become shorter. This season is known for its changing foliage, as leaves on deciduous trees turn vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow before falling.

Winter, or tél, is the coldest season. Temperatures are low, and snow is common in many parts of Hungary. Days are short, and outdoor activities are often limited by the weather conditions. It is a period of dormancy for many plants and animals. The concept of évszakot encompasses the cyclical changes that define the passage of time throughout the year and influence daily life, agriculture, and cultural traditions.
