áramlású

áramlású is a Hungarian term meaning "flow-through" or "through-flow." It describes devices or systems in which a fluid medium continuously passes from an inlet to an outlet, rather than being held in a closed vessel in a static, batch-like state.

In engineering and process technology, flow-through configurations are used in reactors, filtration units, membranes and similar modules. They are designed for continuous operation, enabling steady-state conditions and easier scale-up. Important design considerations include the flow regime, residence time distribution and the minimization of back-mixing, with many implementations aiming for plug-flow–like behavior.

In analytical chemistry and environmental engineering, flow-through arrangements allow samples to be processed or analyzed on-line as they move through detectors or sorbent media. Benefits include reduced manual handling, automated media regeneration, and consistent processing conditions, while challenges can include fouling, channeling, pressure drops and the need for pumps and control systems.

The term is common in Hungarian technical literature and is used across fields such as chemical engineering, water treatment, and bioprocessing to distinguish continuous-flow systems from batch processes.
