Ümbersaatmise

Ümbersaatmise is an Estonian term that translates to "replanting" or "transplanting" in English. It refers to the practice of moving a plant from one location to another, typically to a more suitable environment for its growth or to propagate it. This process is common in agriculture, horticulture, and forestry.

The reasons for ümbersaatmise are varied. Plants might be transplanted to optimize their access to sunlight, water, or nutrients. They might be moved to prevent overcrowding or to make space for other crops. In some cases, ümbersaatmise is done to rescue plants from unsuitable conditions or to propagate them for further cultivation. For seedlings, transplanting them from a nursery bed to their final growing location is a crucial step.
