Common indicators used to identify an oversold market include the Relative Strength Index (RSI) and the Stochastic Oscillator. When the RSI falls below a certain threshold, typically 30, it is considered an oversold signal. Similarly, when the Stochastic Oscillator's %K line crosses below its %D line and both are in the oversold territory (often below 20), it suggests an oversold condition. Other indicators like MACD divergence or a significant drop in volume can also contribute to this assessment.

An oversold condition does not automatically guarantee a price reversal. It is simply an indication that selling pressure may have been overextended and that a bounce or recovery could be imminent.
