Újpesti
Újpesti is a Hungarian community found in Budapest. The area is situated in the third district and was originally a village outside of the city limits in the late 19th century. It became integrated into the growing city of Budapest during the growth period from the late 19th to the early 20th century. Naming after a village called Újpest, it became known for being a working-class community mainly consisting of residential properties and built-up areas. Újpesti received its city character between 1885-1912 through continued growth and absorption by the city.
