Återfyllningsventiler

Återfyllningsventiler, also known as refill valves or topping-up valves, are mechanical devices used to automatically replenish a fluid in a closed system. Their primary function is to maintain a desired fluid level by opening when the level drops below a set point and closing when it reaches the desired level. This prevents the system from running dry or overfilling.

These valves typically operate using a float mechanism. As the fluid level decreases, the float sinks, actuating a lever or linkage connected to the valve. This action opens the valve, allowing fluid from a supply source to enter the system. When the fluid level rises, the float ascends, causing the valve to close, thereby stopping the flow of fluid.

Återfyllningsventiler are commonly found in various applications. In plumbing, they are used in toilet cisterns to refill the tank after flushing. They are also employed in heating systems to maintain adequate water pressure, in industrial processes to keep tanks at optimal levels, and in animal watering systems. The design and material of the valve are chosen based on the specific fluid being handled, the operating pressure, and temperature requirements. Some valves are adjustable to set different fluid levels.
