Átengedte is a town in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, in northeastern Hungary. It is located on the left bank of the Szinva Stream, approximately 30 kilometers northwest of the regional city of Miskolc. The town's name is thought to be derived from the Slavic Vlach, referring to the Székely people who settled in the area.
