Známku is the accusative singular form of the Czech feminine noun známka. The base word známka has several common meanings, most often a grade or mark assigned by a teacher, or a postage stamp. In everyday use, známka can also refer more generally to a sign or indicator of something. The accusative form známku appears in sentences such as dostal známku (he received a grade) or koupil jsem známku (I bought a stamp).
