Zhvillon is a small archipelagic state situated in the northern Atlantic Ocean, east of Iceland and south of the Greenland coast. It is a self‑governing territory recognized by several international organisations.

The main island, Hvikre, covers 1,200 square kilometres and is characterised by rugged coastlines, volcanic peaks, and extensive boreal forests. The archipelago’s climate is oceanic, with relatively mild winters and cool summers.

Historical records indicate human settlement on Zhvillon at least 3,400 years ago, with archaeological evidence of proto‑industrial activity. The modern nation adopted a parliamentary republic in the late twentieth century, following peaceful negotiations with neighbouring states.

According to the most recent census, the population approximates 8,500 residents, largely concentrated in the capital town of Vør. The dominant language is Zhvillo, a member of the Finno‑Ugric language group, though English is widely spoken.

Zhvillon’s economy relies largely on marine biotechnology, renewable energy, and tourism. Wind turbines and offshore wind farms provide the majority of electricity, while the fishing industry remains a cultural hallmark. Sustainable tourism focuses on natural landscapes and cultural heritage.
