Zavazadla is the Czech term for luggage or baggage, referring to containers used to carry personal belongings while traveling. It includes suitcases, travel bags, backpacks, duffel bags, and garment bags. Zavazadla are used across modes of transport—air, rail, road, and sea—and are typically stored in overhead compartments, cargo holds, or designated luggage areas.

Zavazadla come in hard-shell and soft-sided forms. Hard cases are often made from polycarbonate, ABS plastic, or aluminum; soft bags use nylon or polyester fabrics. Common features include wheels, a telescoping handle, padding, and multiple compartments. Closures are usually zippers, with optional combination or key locks; expansion zippers and built-in locks are common security options.

Two main categories exist: carry-on (hand luggage) and checked baggage. Carry-on items must fit within cabin limits, with size and weight restrictions varying by carrier, but many systems accept around 55–56 cm in height and 7–10 kg in weight. Checked luggage is larger and heavier, typically limited to about 20–23 kg, with fees and rules varying by airline.

Travelers should label their luggage with name and contact information, keep valuables in carry-on, and consider insurance for loss or damage. Upon arrival, baggage is retrieved at the claim area; late or misrouted luggage may require airline assistance and compensation under applicable passenger rights.
