yozuvlarining

Yozuvlarining is a grammatical form in Uzbek that marks possession or a genitive relationship with the noun yozuvlar (writings). It translates as “of the writings” or “the writings’.” It is formed by taking the plural noun yozuvlar (writings) and adding the genitive suffix -ning to yield yozuvlarining. This results in a typical Turkic agglutinative structure: root + plural suffix -lar + genitive suffix -ning. The form is used in formal, scholarly, and historical Uzbek to indicate that something belongs to, or concerns, a set of writings, such as their content, language, or authorship.

Examples illustrate its use. Yozuvlarining mazmuni tadqiqotchilar uchun muhim. (The content of the writings is important for researchers.) Ushbu tahlil yozuvlarining tili va uslubini o'rganadi. (This analysis studies the language and style of the writings.) Yozuvlarining tarixi ko'plab manbalarda muhokama qilingan. (The history of the writings is discussed in many sources.)

Notes: Yozuvlarining is a possessive/genitive form that can attach to different head nouns to form phrases such as “the writings’ content,” “the writings’ history,” or “the writings’ authorship.” The construction is common in written Uzbek and is distinct from standalone nouns; you would use it wherever you wish to attribute features to a corpus of writings.
