yliäänipamausten
Yliäänipamaus, also known as a sonic boom, is the sound accompanying shock waves which are created when an object travels through the air faster than the speed of sound. When an object exceeds the speed of sound, it creates a disturbance in the air. This disturbance propagates as a wave. If the object is moving fast enough, these waves can merge into a shock wave.
The characteristic "boom" sound is a result of rapid changes in air pressure. As the object passes,
Sonic booms are most commonly associated with aircraft, particularly military jets and supersonic passenger planes. Spacecraft
