yhteiskuntatyyppiä
Yhteiskuntatyyppiä refers to a categorization of societies based on their primary mode of subsistence and social organization. These typologies are used in sociology and anthropology to understand broad patterns of human social development. One common historical model distinguishes between hunter-gatherer societies, horticultural societies, pastoral societies, agrarian societies, and industrial societies. Agrarian societies emerged with the development of more advanced farming techniques and technologies, leading to larger populations, the rise of cities, and the development of social hierarchies. Industrial societies, a more recent development, are defined by advanced technology, factory production, and a shift from agriculture to manufacturing and service-based economies.
