Võimendustüüpe refer to different classifications of electronic amplifiers based on their operational characteristics and efficiency. One common classification is Class A, which provides a constant current flow through the output stage, resulting in high fidelity but low efficiency. Class AB amplifiers are a compromise, with quiescent current flowing for more than half of the cycle, reducing distortion compared to Class B while maintaining reasonable efficiency.

Another important category is Class C, which is highly efficient but produces significant distortion and is typically used in radio frequency applications where linearity is not a primary concern. Class D amplifiers utilize a switching technique, effectively turning the output transistors on and off rapidly to represent the input signal. This method achieves very high efficiency, making them popular in portable devices and high-power audio systems, though they often require more complex filtering to reconstruct the analog audio signal. Other less common classes, such as Class G and Class H, employ varying voltage rails to improve efficiency by adapting the supply voltage to the signal level. The choice of amplifier class depends heavily on the specific application's requirements for power consumption, signal fidelity, and cost.
