Vätskeövergång, or liquid transition, refers to the process where a substance changes from a liquid state to another state, typically a solid or a gas. This transformation is driven by changes in temperature and pressure, which affect the kinetic energy of the molecules within the substance and the forces between them.

The most common liquid transitions are freezing (or solidification) and boiling (or vaporization). Freezing occurs when a liquid cools down to its freezing point, causing its molecules to slow down and arrange themselves into a more ordered, solid structure.
