Värikalibrointi, or color calibration in English, is the process of adjusting a display device, such as a monitor or television, to ensure it accurately reproduces colors. This is crucial for tasks where precise color representation is important, like graphic design, photography, video editing, and even for general viewing to achieve a more realistic image.

The calibration process typically involves using a calibration device, often called a colorimeter or spectrophotometer, which measures the colors displayed by the screen. This device is placed on the screen and interacts with specialized software.
