válaszott

Valaszott is not a standard Hungarian word. In most contexts it is a misspelling or misformation of the standard participle választott, which means "chosen" or "selected" and is used as an adjective or past participle of választani (to choose).

Formation and correct usage

The correct past participle of válaszol (to answer) is válaszolt, while the past participle of választani (to choose) is választott. The form válaszott does not appear in authoritative Hungarian dictionaries and is generally regarded as erroneous. For example, the correct phrase is a választott személy (the chosen person), not a válaszott személy. The root válasz- belongs to the noun válasz (answer) or the verb válaszol, but it does not combine with the suffix -ott to form a standard participle.

Orthographic notes

Because Hungarian spelling distinguishes z and sz sounds and uses double t in many past participles, válaszott can be produced only through a spelling mistake, a misheard form, or OCR error. It is not accepted as correct in formal writing and should be corrected to választott when meaning "chosen" is intended.

Other uses

There is no widely recognized meaning or established usage of válaszott as a standard word. It may occasionally appear as a proper noun in fictional works or as an improbable surname, but such uses are not standard.
