vyznávat

Vyznávat is a Czech verb meaning to profess, avow, or confess. It denotes publicly declaring or acknowledging something—such as a faith, a conviction, an opinion, or a feeling—and can describe both repeated or habitual action (imperfective aspect) and a single completed act (perfective aspect).

In its imperfective form, vyznávat is used to describe ongoing or repeated declaring, with present tense forms vyznávám, vyznáváš, vyznává, vyznáváme, vyznáváte, vyznávají. The perfective counterpart is vyznat, whose present tense forms are vyznám, vyznáš, vyzná, vyznáme, vyznáte, vyznají. Past tense also reflects the aspect: vyznával (imperfective) versus vyznal (perfective).
