Vueling Airlines, S.A., known as Vueling, is a Spanish low-cost airline headquartered near Barcelona. Founded in 2004 by Carlos Muñoz, it rapidly expanded to operate a broad network across Spain, Europe, and the Mediterranean. Since 2013 it has been a wholly owned subsidiary of International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company that also includes Iberia and other carriers. Its primary hub is Barcelona–El Prat Airport, with significant bases and operations in Madrid and other Spanish airports, enabling a mix of point-to-point and hub‑and‑spoke travel on short- to mid-haul routes within Europe.

Vueling operates an all-Airbus single-aisle fleet, mainly comprising aircraft from the A319 and A320 families. The carrier follows a typical low-cost model, offering low base fares with optional paid services such as seat selection, baggage, and in-flight extras. The airline provides online booking tools and a mobile app, and maintains a loyalty program called Vueling Club, which is part of IAG’s family of loyalty offerings.

Vueling’s network emphasizes European routes, connecting major Spanish cities with destinations across Western Europe, the Mediterranean, and nearby regions. The airline has pursued growth through route diversification and capacity expansion while integrating with the IAG network to provide coordinated schedules and convenient connections.
