These systems use pumps to deliver lubricant under pressure to specific points, ensuring adequate and consistent lubrication even at high speeds or loads. Splash lubrication is a variation where rotating parts dip into a lubricant reservoir and splash it onto other parts.

Continuous lubrication methods, such as circulating oil systems, are used in large and complex machinery. These systems filter and cool the lubricant before recirculating it, providing continuous protection and efficient heat removal. Greasing systems, both manual and automated, are also widely used, especially for bearings and joints.
