viðskiptahindrana
Viðskiptahindranir are obstacles that restrict international trade. These can take various forms, each with different implications for global commerce. Tariffs are perhaps the most well-known type of trade barrier. These are taxes imposed on imported goods, making them more expensive for domestic consumers and thus encouraging the purchase of domestically produced alternatives. Quotas, on the other hand, limit the quantity of a particular good that can be imported into a country over a specific period. This directly restricts supply and can lead to higher prices.
Beyond tariffs and quotas, other forms of viðskiptahindranir exist. Subsidies provided to domestic industries can artificially
