vesszük

Vesszük is a finite verb form in Hungarian. It is the first-person plural present tense of the verb venni, meaning to take or to buy. In everyday use, vesszük expresses that the speaker and others are taking or choosing something, for example in decisions, shopping, or selecting from a set of options.

Form and usage notes. The form is built from the stem vesz- with the suffix -jük, yielding vesszük in the standard present tense. It commonly occurs with a direct object to indicate what is being taken, such as "Vesszük ezt a pólót" (We’ll take this T‑shirt). It can appear in questions or proposals as a way to suggest action, for instance "Vesszük ezt a könyvet?" (Shall we take this book?).
