Vesikulär, written as vesikulär or vesicular in English, is an adjective used in biology and medicine to describe things related to vesicles, small membrane-bound sacs that transport, store, or compartmentalize substances within cells and tissues. The term derives from the Latin vesicula, meaning a small vessel or little sac.

In cell biology, vesikulär describes processes of vesicle-mediated transport. Vesicles bud from donor membranes and fuse with target membranes to move proteins, lipids, and other molecules between compartments such as the endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, endosomes, and the plasma membrane. Coat proteins (for example COPI, COPII, and clathrin) help shape and select cargo for transport. Proper vesicular trafficking is essential for secretion, membrane maintenance, and signaling; disruptions are linked to various diseases, including neurodegenerative and metabolic disorders.

In dermatology and pathology, vesikulär lesions refer to small fluid-filled blisters on the skin or mucous membranes. They are typically 1–5 millimeters in diameter and result from separation of epidermal layers due to inflammation, infection (such as herpes simplex or varicella-zoster), contact dermatitis, or certain medications. The morphology, distribution, and accompanying symptoms assist diagnosis and guide treatment.

In pulmonology, vesicular breath sounds describe normal, soft, rustling sounds heard over healthy lung tissue during auscultation, contrasting with diminished or adventitious sounds that may indicate pathology.
