A ventrículo, or ventricle, is a chamber within an organ, most commonly referring to those found in the heart or the brain. In the context of the heart, there are two ventricles, the right ventricle and the left ventricle. These are the main pumping chambers responsible for circulating blood throughout the body. The right ventricle pumps deoxygenated blood to the lungs, while the left ventricle pumps oxygenated blood to the rest of the body. These chambers are separated by a muscular wall called the interventricular septum.
