Vektornätnverksanalysator, often abbreviated as VNA, is a sophisticated electronic measuring instrument used to characterize the electrical performance of radio-frequency (RF) and microwave components and circuits. It operates by measuring the complex scattering parameters, or S-parameters, of a device under test (DUT). These S-parameters describe how RF signals are reflected by and transmitted through a network. A VNA sends a known RF signal into the DUT and measures the magnitude and phase of the reflected and transmitted signals. By performing these measurements at various frequencies, it can map the frequency-dependent behavior of the DUT.
The primary function of a VNA is to determine parameters such as impedance, reflection coefficient, transmission
