Vectormesons are a class of mesons characterized by their vector property, meaning they possess a spin quantum number of 1. These particles are composed of a quark-antiquark pair and are classified as vector mesons within the broader meson family. Vectormesons play a significant role in the Strong Interaction, mediating forces between other hadrons and contributing to the understanding of quantum chromodynamics (QCD).
