vasopressorer
Vasopressors are a class of drugs used to increase blood pressure. They work by constricting blood vessels, which reduces the amount of space for blood to flow and therefore increases the pressure. This is particularly important in conditions where blood pressure is dangerously low, such as septic shock or cardiogenic shock. The body naturally produces a hormone called vasopressin, also known as antidiuretic hormone (ADH), which has vasopressor properties. Medically administered vasopressors mimic or enhance the action of this natural hormone.
Commonly used vasopressors include norepinephrine, dopamine, epinephrine, and phenylephrine. Each has slightly different mechanisms of action
