Valmistuaverbistä is a term used in Finnish linguistics to describe a subset of verbs whose core meaning expresses a change of state toward a new, finalized condition, especially those derived from the verb valmistua (to become ready or to graduate). The idea emphasizes the transition from one state to another rather than ongoing action, and it is often applied to verbs that describe reaching a goal, completion, or a preparatory condition.

Semantically, valmistuaverbit are viewed as culminative or resultative in character: the predication centers on the endpoint of a process. They can be used with time expressions that indicate future completion, such as parin tunnin kuluttua or ensi viikolla. Syntactically and morphologically, these verbs behave like ordinary intransitive Finnish verbs, inflecting for person and number. In some contexts they can appear in periphrastic formations such as tulla valmiiksi (to become ready), which expresses a transition toward readiness.

Usage notes: the term is not universally adopted in all grammars. Some grammars treat these verbs as part of a broader class of stative or resultative verbs rather than as a distinct diachronic subtype.
