Valkyrjur are female figures in Norse mythology who choose who lives and who dies in battle. The term "Valkyrja" translates to "chooser of the slain." They are often depicted as beautiful and powerful maidens, serving Odin, the chief god, by guiding fallen warriors to Valhalla, his hall in Asgard.

These divine beings are not merely passive observers of conflict; they actively participate in battles, wielding weapons and influencing the outcome.
