vakuoliin
Vakuoliin is a Finnish form used in scientific writing to denote movement into a vacuole or vacuoles. It is the illative case of the noun vakuoli (vacuole). In practice, vakuoliin occurs after verbs of movement, for example: aineet siirrettiin vakuoliin (the substances were transported into vacuoles). The corresponding genitive form is vakuolien, and the plural illative is vakuoleihin.
