Vahemikku is a coastal city in the fictional nation of Lirvara, located on the western coast along the Diera Gulf. It serves as the capital of Vahem district and is a major maritime and commercial hub. The name derives from the Vahe language, where vahe means harbor and mikku means market.

Geographically, Vahemikku lies in a natural harbor with access to inland river networks and the surrounding Emerald Hills. The climate is temperate with maritime influence; annual rainfall approaches 1,000–1,200 mm, and winters are mild.

Vahemikku's history stretches back to the 9th century, when Vahem traders established a settlement that became a trading hub along sea routes. In the medieval period it developed a municipal council and fortifications, and through different periods it remained a regional center before becoming part of the modern state in the mid-19th century. Since then it has diversified from a port town into a broader urban economy.

The economy centers on port facilities, fishing, shipbuilding, and logistics, with services and tourism adding further growth. The city hosts the Lirvara Maritime University and a regional research park.

Government is provided by a city council led by a mayor; Vahemikku is part of the federal unit of Lirvara and sends representatives to the national assembly. Demographically it is home to about 420,000 people, with communities speaking Vahe and Lirvaran languages. Cultural life is marked by the annual Harbor Festival and a mix of architectural styles, including the Old Fort, the Vahemikku Lighthouse, and the Market of the Five Alleys.
