vadtjiem
Vadtjiem is a small municipality and cultural region in the fictional country of Veridia. It lies in the northeastern part of Veridia along the banks of the Vadt river, and comprises the historic town center and surrounding rural areas. The municipality covers about 72 square kilometers and had an estimated population of 8,600 in 2023. The terrain is a mix of riverine plains and gentle hills, with a temperate climate and fertile soils suitable for crops and dairy farming.
The name Vadtjiem derives from the local Veridian language, combining vadt (“river”) and jiem (“meadow”).
