Urodzenie is a noun in Polish that denotes the moment or process of being born. It can refer to the birth of a person or an animal, as well as to the origin or beginning of something in a figurative sense. In contemporary Polish, urodzenie is largely synonymous with narodzenie or narodziny, but it is less common in everyday speech and tends to appear in formal, literary, or historical contexts. Urodzenie is formed from the verb urodzić ("to give birth") with the noun-forming suffix -enie, and it ultimately derives from the same root as rodzić ("to bear").

In usage, in legal and civil records the birth is typically documented as akt urodzenia or simply akt urodzenia, while more common language uses narodziny or data urodzenia to designate the birth event or date. In religious or historical texts, narodzić się and narodzenie are often preferred; urodzenie may appear in older or more technical prose.
