In software development, unreviewed code or changes refer to edits that have not yet been examined by peers, often awaiting a code review process. Similarly, unreviewed content in online platforms may be awaiting moderation to determine compliance with guidelines or authenticity.

The review process aims to assess accuracy, originality, safety, and compliance with standards. Once approved, content is described as reviewed or published, providing a level of quality assurance; if rejected, it may be revised and resubmitted. The term can also denote initial drafts, memos, or proposals not intended for immediate release.
