The univerzum, or universe, is the entirety of space, time, matter, and energy. It encompasses all that exists, including galaxies, stars, planets, and the vast empty spaces between them. Our current understanding of the universe is based on scientific observations and theories, with the Big Bang theory being the prevailing cosmological model for its origin and evolution. This theory suggests that the universe began as an extremely hot and dense point that rapidly expanded, and continues to expand today.

The observable universe is the portion of the universe from which light has had time to reach us since the beginning of the cosmological expansion. It is estimated to be about 93 billion light-years in diameter. Beyond this observable limit, the universe may extend infinitely, though this remains a subject of ongoing research and speculation. The universe is not uniformly distributed; matter is clumped together in structures like galaxies, clusters of galaxies, and superclusters, separated by immense voids.

The fundamental forces of nature – gravity, electromagnetism, and the strong and weak nuclear forces – govern the interactions within the universe. Understanding these forces and the composition of the universe, which is believed to be primarily dark energy and dark matter, is crucial to comprehending its past, present, and future. The study of the universe, known as cosmology, seeks to answer fundamental questions about its origin, evolution, structure, and ultimate fate.
