unitärer
Unitärer is a term used in several Germanic-language traditions and can refer to different concepts depending on context. In mathematics and physics, unitär (or unitary in English) describes objects or transformations that preserve a given inner product or norm. A unitärer operator U satisfies U†U = UU† = I, and unitäre Gruppen (unitary groups) consist of all n-by-n unitär matrices. In quantum mechanics and quantum information, evolution and quantum gates are modeled as unitäre transformations to conserve probabilities.
In religious and historical contexts, unitärer can refer to adherents of Unitarians, a liberal religious movement
Etymology and language notes: the term derives from the Latin unitas, unity, and the Germanic adaptations reflect
