Ultraszéles is a Hungarian term that translates to "ultra-wide" in English. It is most commonly used in the context of photography and videography to describe lenses with an extremely wide field of view. These lenses capture a significantly larger area than a standard lens, allowing photographers to fit more of the scene into a single frame. This makes them ideal for landscapes, architectural photography, and interior shots where space is limited.

The defining characteristic of an ultraszéles lens is its focal length, which is typically very short, often below 24mm in 35mm equivalent terms. This short focal length, combined with a wide aperture, results in a broad perspective. However, ultraszéles lenses can also introduce significant distortion, particularly at the edges of the frame, which can bend straight lines into curves.
