Ulosottotoimet, or enforcement actions, are the procedures used in Finland to ensure the execution of court decisions, enforceable orders and other binding obligations. They are carried out by the Finnish enforcement authority (ulosottolaitos) in accordance with the Ulosottolaki (Act on Enforcement) and related legislation. The objective is to secure payment or performance when ordinary collection methods have not succeeded and to safeguard creditors’ rights while respecting the debtor’s rights.
