tööjõule

Tööjõule is the allative case form of the Estonian noun tööjõud, commonly translated as "labour force" or "workforce." In Estonian grammar the allative case, marked by the suffix -le, expresses movement or direction toward something, so tööjõule typically means "to the workforce" or "toward the labour force" and can sometimes be rendered as "for the workforce" depending on context.

The lexical base tööjõud is a compound of töö (work) and jõud (force, power). It is widely used in economic, sociological and policy contexts to refer to the supply of available workers, employment capacity, or the collective human resources of a region or sector. The allative form appears in constructions describing allocation, movement, targeting or effects directed at that group: for example, "Ressursse suunati tööjõule" ("Resources were directed to the workforce") or "Uus programm keskendub tööjõule koolitamisele" ("The new program focuses on training the workforce").

As an inflected form, tööjõule participates in regular case morphology of Estonian and contrasts with other cases such as the nominative tööjõud, genitive tööjõu, and partitive tööjõudu.
