Tájformáló is a Hungarian term that translates to landscape shaper or landscape former. It refers to the processes, natural or human-induced, that alter the physical form of the land. These forces continuously modify the Earth's surface, creating the diverse topography we observe.

Natural tájformáló forces include geological processes like erosion, weathering, volcanic activity, and tectonic movements. Erosion, driven by wind, water, and ice, wears away at existing landforms and transports material elsewhere, leading to the formation of valleys, canyons, and plains.
