Työskentelyaikoja refers to working hours or work schedules in Finnish. This term encompasses the periods during which an employee is expected to perform their duties. Commonly, working hours are structured around a standard full-time week, often consisting of 37.5 or 40 hours. These hours are typically distributed across five days, from Monday to Friday. Shift work (vuorotyö) is another prevalent model, especially in industries requiring continuous operation.
