Twoprismatic is a term used in some geometric discussions to describe a polyhedron formed by combining two prisms along a common boundary. The precise interpretation can vary, but the core idea is two prism-shaped regions arranged to yield a single solid with two distinguished ends, often resembling a prismatoid in its overall form.

Common constructions include joining two congruent prisms along their bases to produce a prismatoid with two parallel base faces, or attaching prisms along a shared lateral face to create an elongated composite. When the prisms are right prisms with a common base, the resulting solid has lateral faces that are typically parallelograms or rectangles, depending on the alignment and the shapes of the bases.

Geometric properties depend on the joining method. If the prisms have base area B and heights h1 and h2, the total volume is V = B(h1 + h2). If the two prisms share a base face, the final surface area equals SA1 + SA2 − 2B, where SA1 and SA2 are the surface areas of the individual prisms. If joined along a lateral face, the area adjustment follows the portion of the shared boundary removed from the exterior surface. Symmetry and exact measurements depend on the base polygons and the relative orientation of the two prisms.

The term twoprismatic is not a standard designation in classical geometry and is used mainly in niche literature and modeling contexts. It is related to, but distinct from, prismatoids, biprisms, and general polyhedral composites.
