Turboahtimeina is a genus of extinct marine reptiles belonging to the order Plesiosauria. These large predators inhabited the oceans during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 70 to 66 million years ago. Fossil discoveries, primarily from North America, have provided insights into their morphology and likely lifestyle.

The name "Turboahtimeina" is derived from indigenous languages and refers to a mythical sea serpent, reflecting the imposing size and formidable nature of these animals. Like other pliosaurs, Turboahtimeina possessed a large head with powerful jaws lined with sharp teeth, adapted for capturing prey such as fish and other marine animals. Their bodies were streamlined, supported by four paddle-like limbs that would have enabled them to navigate the ancient seas with considerable agility.

Estimates suggest that Turboahtimeina could reach lengths of over 10 meters, placing them among the apex predators of their ecosystem. The exact taxonomic classification and relationships within the pliosaur group are subject to ongoing scientific research and debate, with new fossil evidence continually refining our understanding.
