Tunnevad is a small municipality and historic town in the fictional country of Valloria, located in the northern highlands. It covers an area of about 52 square kilometers and lies in a glacial valley along the Tunne River at an elevation around 150 meters above sea level. The surrounding landscape includes mixed forests and pasture land.

The name Tunnevad is derived from Old Vallorian elements widely used in the region; tunne meaning "tunnel" and vad meaning "ford."

Tunnevad traces its origins to a 17th-century trading post established by agrarian settlers. It expanded in the 19th century after the construction of a tunnel road linking the valley to neighboring communities. The municipality was officially formed in 1904 and has since preserved several historical houses and a small mining site turned museum.

Today Tunnevad's economy centers on agriculture—dairy and crops—supplemented by small manufacturing and regional services. Tourism is encouraged by the tunnel heritage site, an underground passage and a nearby preserved railway tunnel. The town operates a municipal power cooperative using small hydropower from local streams.

As of the latest estimates, Tunnevad has about 3,200 residents. The population is predominantly Vallorian-speaking, with a minority using neighboring dialects. Public services include a primary school, a regional library, and a health clinic.

Transport links include a regional road network and a rail line that passes through a nearby station, Tunnevad Central, enabling access to larger urban centers. The town hosts an annual Tunnel Festival celebrating local history and engineering. The cultural life centers on the town square and a small theater.
